Become a Certified Judge or Coach This October!

Interested in being a certified Yoga Sport coach or championship judge?  This combined coaches and judges training is also a recertification for existing judges and current coaches. This is a comprehensive training that will cover all aspects of judging and all aspects of coaching. Participants who complete the training will be invited to judge during the 2025 season.

Your training team includes senior teachers and IYSF Technical Committee Members Kim Tang and Lynn Whitlow, Erin Paulsen, Chair, USA Yoga Judges Committee and Judy Lu, Chair, USA Yoga Coaches Committee.

Eligibility criteria for judges: active and certified teacher for at least three years. Eligibility criteria for the coaches: active and certified teacher for at least three years or competitor for at least three years or winner of first, second, or third place in their division at the national championships. Judges and coaches who are certifying must be members of USA Yoga.

Schedule:

October: every Saturday

5, 12, 19, 26: 12:30-2:30pm Pacific Time

Training Cost:

$400 for all 4 sessions - for new judges and coaches. Includes a one-year USA Yoga membership; current members will be extended for one additional year. Must attend 3 of the 4 sessions live and complete assessment.

$100 for all 4 sessions - for anyone who judged in the 2024 season, or past national or international champions. May attend in person or watch video recordings and complete assessment.

Ayanna has been a USA Yoga member for over 20 years. She has competed, hosted events, coached and judged. There are many jewels she has picked up along the way that she would love to share with you.

From your practice and preparation, to your mental focus and emotional state and being on stage, this workshop will focus on how to stay healthy physically and emotionally as a competitor in the sport of Yoga. 

Expect a short lecture, focusing on clarity in your Yoga Sport series and be prepared to practice your series.

Present your 3-minute routine in Clarksville, Indiana on November 2 to qualify for the 2025 USA Yoga National Yoga Sport Championship in August 2025.
