In this co-led workshop, Michele will provide tips for standing head to knee and standing bow pulling postures as well as timing and transitions on stage. Her advice will include drills to help in postures where the hips rotate. She will also share inspirational ideas and quotes that have shaped her competition journey.
Thomas will share exercises and drills to help practitioners execute tiger and peacock postures, two important postures for competitors to focus on for lifts and inversions.
Michele Vennard has practiced yoga daily for the past 18 years and she has been a certified Bikram yoga instructor since 2011. In 2003 she opened Bikram Yoga San Jose. Michele has taught thousands of students, coached yoga athletes, and hosted yoga competitions. She placed first in the 2018 national and international Women's 50+ Division.
Thomas Forbang began practicing yoga in 2012 and has been teaching, training and competing since 2015. He is a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) as well as a 2017-2018 USA Yoga board member and a current coach. Thomas placed first in the 2018 national and international Men's 50+ Division and has been top ranked nationally since 2016.
